I just got back from the desert and I’m still not over it. Justin Bieber headlining Coachella for the first time, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, The Kid LAROI showing up mid-set, Tems, Wizkid, fireworks. Weekend one was something else.

I went secondhand shopping for my Coachella fit way before the festival but whether you’re heading out for weekend two or already planning for next year, the options around the valley are genuinely good. Because Coachella is one of the most photographed events on the planet, and every year the same thing happens. Brands flood the market with “festival looks” built from synthetic fabrics that shed microplastics and take centuries to break down. People wear them once. The shuttle buses leave Indio. The clothes get trashed.

There’s a better way to do this.

Coachella Valley Map

A quick geography note before we get into it, because this confuses people every year. The Coachella Valley is a region — a string of desert cities stretching about 45 miles along Highway 111. The festival takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Not in the city of Coachella, which is a completely separate place about 15 minutes further east. La Quinta is 15 minutes south of the festival grounds. These are different cities. All worth your time. The 2026 festival runs April 10–12 and April 17–19 at Empire Polo Club, 81800 Avenue 51, Indio, CA.
