10 stops. Dixie Highway to Palm Beach Island. Budget thrift to designer vintage.

Here’s what nobody tells you about West Palm Beach: it is one of the best thrift corridors in the entire country. You’ve got a single stretch of S. Dixie Highway where you can walk from a true Goodwill to a Chanel consignment boutique in under a mile. Then you cross a bridge and hit Palm Beach island — where actual mansion closets are donating actual Hermès. I’ve done this route a dozen times. I’ve never left empty-handed.
This is the full Lex in the City guide to the WPB haul — north along Dixie, across the bridge, up the island, and back to Clematis Street for the perfect vintage finale. Time it right and you can do all 10 stops in a single Saturday. I’ve mapped it out for you. I hope you enjoy your day. I know we did. At the very end I’ll share the major score my mom found at one of these stops.

The route flows north on S. Dixie Highway — you’ll hit the consignment heavy-hitters first, park once at the Goodwill/City Girl cluster, continue up toward Antique Row, then detour east across the bridge to Palm Beach island for the legendary two. Cap the night on Clematis Street at KISmet, which stays open until 10pm on Saturdays.

Perfect late stop – you’ll still have full hours on Clematis to grab dinner and decompress. Walk in, walk through decades, walk out with something you’ll actually wear.
🗺️ Lex’s Route Notes
- Start at Dina C’s at 11am – it’s the southern anchor of the Dixie cooridor and opens latest of the morning stops.
- Park once at the City Girl / Goodwill South Dixie cluster. They’re directly across the street from each other.
- Nearly New closes at 4pm on Saturdays – don’t stall on Dixie and miss it.
- The Church Mouse closes at 5pm. Cross that bridge with time to spare.
- Check Goodwill Embassy hours before you go – they’ve been inconsistent and the store is worth making sure it’s open.
- Paradise Lost opens at noon – dovetail this with the Goodwill Embassy on the same island.
- KISmet is open until 10pm Saturday nights. This is your dinner-and-browse finale on Clematis Street – the best way to end the day.
The whole point of this route is that it works whether you have $50 or $500 in your pocket. The Goodwills and charity thrifts are here. The $3,000-bag consignment boutiques are here. Palm Beach island slots right in the middle — where the same zip code produces both.
That’s what makes this corridor genuinely unlike anywhere else in South Florida. The wealth is so concentrated, and it moves through these stores in such unexpected ways, that on any given Saturday you might find a Louis Vuitton next to a $4 denim jacket.
You’ve all been waiting for this one.

My mom scored a Louis Vuitton bag at Goodwill. Tagged at $299. But here’s where it gets good. My dad walked up to the assistant manager and asked if they’d take $200. The assistant manager called the manager. The manager said yes.
She walked out with a Louis Vuitton for $200.
This was at the Goodwill at 5400 S. Dixie Highway, right across from City Girl Consignment, if you want to go check it out yourself.
